Re-discovering Melbourne’s iconic Lanes with Adventure Clues

Melbourne, the world’s most liveable city is known for a rich and rare adventures and Insta-worthy laneways. So today, i am going to take you with me to explore Melbourne’s most iconic laneways. The most Insta-worthy lanes, which is a must do adventure for any tourist.

With International travel seems like a distant future, me as a travel blogger took this opportunity to be a tourist in my own city.

Yes, you heard it right, i went to explore these Murals with a fresh set of eyes. Graffiti, murals , street arts, you may call it by any name, i am taking you around to the Mural hotspot in Melbourne which is Hosier Lane and the DeGraves Lane.

The Hosier lane, known for its sophisticated Urban artworks, is located opposite the entrance to the Atrium at Federation Square on Flinders St. Prominent for its location and for its urban art. I recently took a tour with Adventures Clue , to re-discover these lanes and learn more about its historical significance.

Adventure Clues, allows you to explore the city, in a series of fun and hidden clues, in a very unique way.

Street Art, Hosier Lane, Melbourne

Grab a coffee in the small laneway cafes on the Hosier Lane, where various murals of the aspiring artists adorns the walls. Contributing to the Melbourne city’s colours and vibrancies, this lane is one of the hero lanes of Melbourne.

While, exploring and appreciating the various street art, don’t forget to eat and drink like locals. There are many street cafes and restaurants which offers an amazing gastronomical experience. I prefer to have a sumptuous brunch on the flinders lane, before embarking on my mural adventures.

The Degraves Lane, offers various cuisines across the globe, if you cant travel, all you need to do is head to these lanes and eat what your heart wants.

These lanes become more vibrant at night, with friends who wishes to join you on a Friday night for drinks at these lane. They would be greeted with some amazing music and food.

ACDC Lane, which features the cherry bar and few street art is an unique find in itself, as the name says it all named after the Australian Musical heroes. Here you will find a mix of cafes and food.

Presgrave Lane, Melbourne

Before entering the Presgrave lane, which isn’t impressive enough like the other lanes, however offers framed pictures and sculptures. The rustic vibe of this lane, takes me back to Asia. You would know what i mean when you look up above the lane and find clothes hanging out, isn’t that something interesting ?

There are couple of lanes like Union Lane, Presgrave Lane, ACDC Lane, where you can find hidden murals tucked away from the usual limelight, its always amazing to find a hidden gem in these not so famous lanes.

I discovered a few while meeting a friend for lunch in China town.
