Staying at home doesn’t always have to be in PJ’s, especially when we know winters are withering away soon to some brighter and sunnier days ahead.

Feeling uninspired in the morning? Then get up get dressed, spring is around the corner and we have all reasons to flaunt those beautiful colours from the wardrobe.

Melbourne spring is cold and sometimes rainy and wet too, but we are blessed with few sunny mornings, which I would love to utilise these warm days to mix and match some amazing pieces from the closet.

So, here are my top 8 picks for this year Melbourne Spring 2020.

#Floral: Anything floral is the 1st thing that comes to our mind when we think of spring. Floral dresses, tops, sarees, skirts and even PJ’s.

To be true I wear floral throughout the year, but spring is a magical time of the year when we are all saying goodbye to the Melbourne harsh winter.

#Playsuits and Jumpsuits: Style your playsuits for the sunny mornings in Melbourne and jumpsuits for your evening

#Denim Style: Pieces of Denim are a saviour for Melbourne spring, style it with your favourite dress or flaunt denim on denim outfit. My favourite pick would be a denim dress styled with sneakers or a pair of flat nude boots.

#Pleated Skirts: Skirts are for all seasons, pleated skirts are an all-rounder piece in your wardrobe, style them with a good blazer and a belt or wear them with your humble denim jacket.

I normally mix a pleated skirt with knitwear during colder days to add a dash of colours to my mood.

#Shirt dress: This piece of clothing is my all-time favourite, style them as many ways you want, especially for spring pair them with your runners or add a high heel they can turn out to be beyond the usual outfit.

#LongΒ  Flowy tops: They go best with all types of denim, when you feel too lazy to dress down, these flowy long tops add the bit of much-needed drama.

The good thing is you can add a touch of ethnic vibes too, y wearing it with your favourite danglers.

#Polka dots: Polka dots dresses are my personal favourite, I have seen some women style them beautifully with a Knitwear or simply flaunting them with sneakers. They are never out of fashion and personally I’m happy to wear them throughout the year if Melbourne weather permits.

# Mixing prints: Mixing clashing prints with colour pops, is always my theme for a gloomy day in Melbourne, mixing those abstract pieces of clothing that you never thought to wear or pair with any outfit.

Colours to look forward this spring are blue, rose pink, green, peacock, terracotta, lavender, lemon sherbet, muted lime and marigold.

Stand out and make a statement with these stunning colours this spring and as always don’t forget to keep it stylish.
