#Mount Macedon

This year, I drove an hour to Mount Macedon to see the beautiful colours and I was utterly mesmerised by the fall beauty! Head to this Glaze Garden park at Mount Macedon to experience the colourful Maple leaves.

Each street or lane has something to offer you! There isn’t much to explore in the city centre, so drive through the City centre, which takes you to a couple of bushwalking.

The Uniting Church at Mount Macedon which is located a few kilometres drive from the city centre is such an Insta-worthy location. We spotted this place while exploring different streets of this small town.

#Walhalla

Other than Mount Macedon, you can also catch some colours at Walhalla, this beautiful historic town of Victoria is located in the deep mountain valley and is just 3 hours drive from Melbourne.

This picturesque village which is nestled beside among the Victorian Alps is not pretty well known to Melbournians, so I tried my luck to capture some fall colours and was lucky enough.

Experience the historic train (Goldfield Railways) ride from the Moe town to Walhalla or grab a seat at one of the oldest Cafe to unwind over lunch.

Often countryside towns run out of regular food cafes and some open only for restricted hours.

But one such cafe i would highly recommend you to pay a visit and grab a coffee or brunch is Mr Macedon, this place offers a cosy corner for family and couples and has a good variety of fast food, needless to say, their coffee is amazing too!

If you have already experienced Fall in the High country of Victorian Alps, I would love to hear your experience. If you have missed it don’t worry, you can still catch the colours until the 1st-2nd week of May before the winter sweeps in.

So, hurry to take that road less travelled and experience these beautiful colours.
